Four steps before the season
1
Apply on Sports Connect

2
Complete your background check
Little League requires one every year. Watch for the email from JDP after you apply and finish it promptly.
3
Take Abuse Awareness training
Little League’s Abuse Awareness Course, about 45 minutes at Little League University. Required every year.
4
Take Diamond Leader training
Required by Boerne LL for every manager and coach. Take it once at Little League Diamond Leader.
Your checklist
All of these need to be done before your first practice. You can’t work with players until they are.

- Background checkDone through JDP, Little League’s background check provider, after you apply. It’s renewed every year.
